Seychelles is hot all year round. The sun is very strong. Weather forecasts are unreliable.
The sea is less calm from June to September, during which time it is recommended to be on the northwestern side of the islands.
Tropical storms are common throughout the year.

Ferries in Seychelles

The tips in the Seychelles are included in the price.
You can exchange money almost anywhere or pay in Euros or Dollars and get a surplus in Rupees.
It is advisable not to bring 500 euro or dollar bills printed before 2009.
Not much money is needed for the Seychelles. There is almost nothing to buy, and food and drink are not expensive outside the hotel.
The main attractions: kayaks, snorkeling and cycling, all add up to 100 euros per person.

TIPS

British outlets.
Can be bought on arrival at the red or blue pavilion off the field.
Driving is not easy and the roads are very narrow. There are quite a few accidents and it is recommended not to drive, especially at night.
It is advisable to buy attractions located neatly and not from people on the beach.

MIRANTE LA MISERE lookout on the island of Eden.
Morne Blanc Trail Trail is not easy but the observation is worth the effort.
ANSE MAJOR TRAIL A beautiful route along the cliff in tangled vegetation. 150 SCR
Pointe Anu Paul continue on the road after the entrance to Ephelia- the road becomes narrow and not designed for the faint of heart but the view is worth the effort.
Port Glaud Waterfall near Constance Apilia. Take care of your belongings.

More Tips

Anse Soleil is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. 

Take a trip to the Four Seasons Hotel Beach.

Arrive at the entrance gate to the hotel and there is a small car park in front of Casino Royale. Enter the gate and register with the guard.
You can walk about 20 minutes on foot or catch a golf cart (for a tip). You can access the hotel pavilion on the beach and request snorkelling equipment.

Head to the peaceful Anse Police or visit the north shore of the Ephelia Hotel.

Tips for Mahe

The Baobab pizzeria in Beau Vallon is good and reasonably priced, at the Bravo restaurant on the island of Eden the food is delicious.

Mahek Restaurant in Beau Vallon is an excellent Indian restaurant.

At the Apilia Hotel half board is recommended. Restaurants in discrimination

Carousel - A very tasty buffet. Adam and Eve Chinese menu by the pool. Around 45 euros per couple Helios reopened, Sian Sushi very expensive. SESELWA Delicious restaurant on the north coast.

Eat in Mahe

Rent a bike and walk on the island.

Wake up early for the sunrise at Grand Anse Beach. It’s not easy to get up at four-thirty in the morning and ride a bike for half an hour with headlights on, but it’s worth it.

Anse Cocos beach is perhaps the most beautiful.

Tips for La Digue 

Fond Ferdinand is a coconut forest with a beautiful view of the island.

GLACIS NOIRE NATURE TRAIL - A beautiful challenging route of 300 meters ascent to an observation tower in the center of the island.

Walk from ANSE LAZIO to ANSE GEORGETTE -pre-register by email.

A tour to three islands, Cousin, Curieuse and St. Pierre, magnificent birds, the famous Tortoises and spectacular snorkeling, including lunch, soft drinks and snacks - recommended.

Tips for Praslin

The Italian restaurant at the Hotel Le Repaire is excellent.


Mi Mum's Takeaway is right next to the ferry with local homemade food and also some high class western dishes at reasonable prices. Good for dining in too.

  • Ask an agent for better prices and cancellation policies for Seychelles.

  • Avoid changing too many accommodations. For example, per week we will recommend up to two places to stay.

  • The sun is very strong in Seychelles.

  • Check with an agent about a discount on direct flights to Seychelles. Often the savings are significant.

  • Remember to fill out the entry declaration up to 48 hours in advance in order to avoid a high cost.

  • La Digue Island is worth a visit of more than a few hours.

  • The ferry between June and September is not easy for most travelers. Check domestic flights.
